How it Works

AuthorizedPickup provides pre-arranged, parent-authorized school pickup and point-to-point transportation for families who are temporarily unable to pick up their children in person. We operate exclusively under written parental authorization and serve pre-registered families and approved schools only. We are not a rideshare, not a marketplace, and not a childcare provider.

Step 1: Family Enrollment

Become a Member

Before any service is provided, parents or legal guardians must complete enrollment, which includes:

  • Identity verification
  • Child profile and photo
  • School information
  • Authorized destinations
  • Emergency contacts
  • Signed Texas parental delegation & transportation authorization

Enrollment ensures clarity, safety, and compliance for all parties.

Step 2: School Authorization

Once enrolled:

  • Parents list AuthorizedPickup as an authorized pickup agent with their child’s school
  • Schools release children based on parental authorization, not at our request
  • Schools are not required to contract with us or assume liability

We operate within each school’s existing release procedures.

Step 3: Requesting a Pickup

When a need arises:

  • The parent submits a pickup request
  • Requests are parent-initiated only
  • Pickups are pre-arranged and dispatched through our system
  • Emergency or short-notice requests may be accommodated based on availability

We do not offer open or public dispatch.

Step 4: Professional Pickup

At pickup:

  • A uniformed employee driver arrives at the school
  • Driver presents company identification
  • Child identity is verified
  • Pickup is digitally logged and tracked

Drivers follow strict pickup protocols and may refuse pickup if conditions are unsafe or authorization cannot be confirmed.

Step 5: Point-to-Point Transportation

Transportation is:

  • Direct
  • GPS-tracked
  • One family per trip (siblings only)
  • Limited to authorized destinations

We do not:

  • Provide childcare or supervision services
  • Wait with children outside of vehicle transit
  • Make unauthorized stops

Step 6: Verified Drop-Off

At drop-off:

  • Destination is verified
  • Receiving adult or location is confirmed
  • Drop-off is digitally logged
  • Parents receive confirmation

Our responsibility ends immediately upon verified drop-off.
